Navigation Upgrade

I posted this on the 996 TT forum but no one seems to know the answer. I am hoping someone here will have the answers....

I have a 2002 turbo that didnt come stock with navigation. I want to upgrade it with navigation so the interior looks similar to my 997 turbo. I know I am vain but I think the 996 looks so plain inside without it. Is it possible to move all of the HVAC controls and install an aftermarket unit and have it look stock? I was thinking of moving the controls to where the CD storage slots are on the bottom.

If it is possible, any recommendations on which unit i should go with?

Thanks for any info.<!-- google_ad_section_end --> <!-- / message -->

I saw a pic of a 996 with a beautiful aftermarket install just the other day in one of the forums. It was a touch screen unit installed toward the bottom of the center console where a cubby and some CD storage is normally located.

If you have seen the aftermarket 997 installs the bezel looked similar but made for the 996. It looked very good.
