I do agree the dealer needs to check it for me sooner rather than later.
The laws of inertia says the car will stay at rest only on a dead flat level surface. Put a ball onto a perfectly flat table and it wont roll....unles the ball isnt perfectly round and then will find its balance point. The 997tt weighs far too much than to be able to be held by the mere contact of its brake pads in float mode on the disc surface of the rotors. To suggest otherwise is nonsense. No matter how slight the incline the car should roll...end of story. If it doesnt then youve either got square wheels, super under inflated tires, or some other mechanical issue.

Guys, when I test drove a Turbo recently I felt the same thing on a medium incline and had a car right up my rear. I was a little up tight just getting into the car for the first time and not having the pick up point down pat. The salesman said these cars have an automatic hill holder feature ties into a liquid switch that measures incline. there is another switch similar that measures tilt left to right.(rollover) that triggers the roll bars on the verts!

You're talking 997tt.2 though.

.1 has no such feature that I'm aware of. Op is talking .1.

Possibly your parking brake needs some adjustment. It could be dragging all the time.

jasont is infamous around these parts
So I took it in for some other work and the dealer checked it out and said that it is normal operation. They said that it is, in fact, common for the PCCB to exert more friction than the standard brakes even while at rest.

I don't really have any reason to doubt them as this dealer is #1, very mod friendly and understands our turbos very well, and #2 any other complaint I have had they immediately replace parts no questions asked - so, I think they would have jumped on another warranty repair if they really thought something was wrong. (i.e. I mentioned that one time the sunroof stuck for just a moment while closing in very cold weather and they went ahead and replaced the motor, even though it was working fine ever since that one incident)

Heck, I didn’t pull my e-brake up all the way or forgot to set it while in the garage and it rolled backwards and hit the garage door. I have carpet on the floor as well. When I went to the open the door the metal handles on the g-door scrapped my rear bumper-ettes. Completely sucked! Don’t think we had earthquake that day?
