There is no switch for the diff lock.
I haven't done it, but I believe the average schmoe can change out the shifter.
Check your insurance regarding the glass. They may fill it in without paying a deductable.

Drive a stock shifter before deciding to take out the factory short shifter. It's really quite nice and IMO better than the 3rd party short shifters.

Grats! What part of Maryland are you in? I'm in Northern VA and a bunch of us Get Together frequently in the Rockville and Tyson's area. Bring out the 7TT. I'm already starting the search for the PERFECT one.
