Should I do LSD?
Should I do LSD?
Hello All,Buying an '07-'08 Turbo 6 speed/Sport Chrono and would like your feedback on LSD. I have owned many rear wheel drive ( several 911 ) sports cars and a 996 Turbo. Some light track days and maybe AutoX. I usually do light modes like ECU, exhaust and suspension. Many 997 Turbo choices now on market... several with factory LSD... several without. Having a hard time even conceptualizing LSD and all wheel drive. Can't decide if I should make it a criteria while looking. Thanks for any feedback.

I dropped plenty of LSD in college man...
Wait wait wait. You mean a limited slip differential?!
Only really necessary if you track the car. So unless you don't plan on doing driving events or going ape crap on modifications, in if you do you will more than likely upgrade it, don't bother.
But if you just happen across a used one and buy it that can't hurt.

Does the LSD help on the launch? Just ask Mike at TPC.

One other thing is I would recommend reading the LSD Buster thread over in the GT3 forum. A used 997TT with factory LSD will have the same LSD and the same problems that the GT3 guys have with their factory LSD...
