My New Mod from Torque Solutions

Big thanks to the guys at Torque Solutions for getting me these engine mounts for our Project 997 Turbo. In addition to these, we will be updating our 997TT with bigger injectors, retune, rear LED lights with new Vorsteiner rear bumper, and some "other" top secret flavor!

These engine mounts are amazing high quality CNC machined. These guys have nailed it. With all the power the mighty smurf pushes, this will keep that motor from twisting and should be noticeable under hard driving conditions. BTW, not sure if I am special, but the 2 TShirts were a bonus too

Stay tuned for install pics and a full review.

A motor mount obviously has a rubber or in some case urethane insert to keep the chassis from vibrating. In typical front engine cars, replacing the motor mounts reduces the pitch and dive that you get from acceleration or deceleration. Easy way to explain it is... you know how when you rev a V8 the motor goes side to side under the throttle blip? Heavy duty motor mounts reduce this engine movement. Keeps everything tight and solid.

The motor mounts are in the back (obviously) and towards the rear part of the engine. This is what you would loosen to drop the motor. I will have pics soon enough

In comparison to the above about the WEVO, the WEVO uses a stiffer "bushing" material as seen in this picture.

Thanks for the plug Dan.. We have about 15+ sets sold and have yet to have any complaints of excessive vibration.. We went a little more gentle with the urethane durometer as to keep all the street car guys happy.. We can of course do custom track applications much stiffer.. Thanks again and enjoy them in good health!!

Thanks, never though bushing were color coded, seen blue, red; yellow and black, each color means a level of stiffness?

I do not sell WEVO so I am not sure about the product. They might use a different color for different Delrin or Urethane stiffness.
