I did not talk to them. Based on the above. I just figured I'd give it a shot and see what happens. They seemed set up for it, based on the way the transaction went, but who knows....

Based on your initial post it sounded like you called in advance...but your order sounds just like mine - order placed on their website, card was processed, invoice issued, then order cancelled when they figured out it was shipping to the US. Hope your experience is different.

I hope it works out too - looks like a good product and maybe Dectane changed their policy on US distribution. My order was February 23 and I didn't get charged VAT either - AMEX charge was $648.33, subsequently refunded in full when they cancelled order.

my name is Achim and I am the owner of the 997 in Post 120. We had a lot of trouble with this LED lights at the beginning (error codes). So please install them and look for error codes. I had to ship my lights 3 times back untill I got a pair which was correctly working. I shipped the red/crystal back at the beginning of may and now they had no more in stock. So I accepted red/smoke for the return because I was waiting till Jan. 2011 for this lights. If you like to see the red/smoke lights I can do some pics on the weekend and post them. Sorry for my english.

Visited the Carlightpro website. Looks like they may have snagged the US distribution for the Dectane lights. They look identical. That may be why Dectane is not shipping to US. Having a distributor gives them someone here to hold inventory and deal with any issues. They are $849.
