Nice that he's on the correct side of the ocean for Dectane.

 

I am thinking to order the Dectane lights and have them shipped to my wife's relatives in Italy. We are heading to Europe in June and I figured I can just grab them while I am there. Do you think this would work? I guess it also depends on how long Dectane freakin takes to ship them out. Does anyone know how big the box is that they lights came in? Hope to get some help/info on this!

 

The box won't fit in the overhead. Also, check with customs on any duty and if there are any import restrictions.

 

Well if someone can provide me the dimensions and approx weight of the box I can always get an estimate from UPS or FedEx on shipping charges to the US. Otherwise I may just buy the ones from Ray...

They stock the lights and may not be as particular as dectane about where they ship them to, (possibly might send to US). Price is the same as dectane.

 

I have the ones Ray sold and shipped already installed.Everybody here liked them a lot (Argentina).They look as good as OE, not the same when lights are on but they look good though. No problems with connections, computer didn`t give any failure messages...Box is 2,6 x 1,3 x 1,3 (I took a dimension converter, I can tell exact dimensions in centimeters 80x40x40) weight of the box about 4 pounds. Don`t trouble yourself with Dectane, this leds are more than OK!

Looks like they have red/smoke and smoke in stock and can ship to the US...but only way I see that you can pay is a wire transfer to their bank.

 

Its a bit strange that they dont seem to take a CC on the web site, but i bet if you called them they could probably take your card details over the phone if you dont want to do wire transfer.

Their name pops up a lot on local forums over here...they seem to have a good reputation so i wouldn't think you would have anything to worry about.

 

let me know how it goes....im also looking for a set of the dectanes but want to know 100% first about wether there are still issues with leaks, and how the brake lights look when on - i dont like the 75% look on the yellow cab video.

 

Got my lights today and guess what...they were damaged in transit!

So annoyed.

Anyway rang Dectane and they said no problem they will arrange for DHL to collect and return and ship a new set - will take about a week

Apart from the damage the lights looked to be of very good quality - no difference to current OEM quality, (trying to find the positive in this lol)
