Front bumper removal...

I try to remove the front bumper. I found a pretty good DIY here and at Rennlist, but these are for the Carrera, not the Turbo. Has anyone a DIY for the Turbo, or How do I get the turn signals removed completely? Is the wiring for LCD a plug? Doesn't look that way and I do not want to damage the wiring when I pull the bumper off.

Any Help would be appreciated!

The wiring harness (and healight washers if equiped) will disconnect via plugs behind the front fender liners on each side. It is pretty self explanatory to remove:
Pull the front wheels (makes it easier).
Remove front fender liners (torx screw in the wheel well and a couple on the bottom of bumper)
Release tabs for sidemarkers lights with a screw driver (don't just pull the sidemarker lights out, they won't go back in correctly if you don't compress the tab when removing)
Remove the one screw near the side marker light that points upward towards the fender
Open trunk, remove the side trim and front trim around the latch (pulls off)
Remove the 3 screws holding the top of the bumper in place
With a sturdy pick tool are screw driver, look under the side of the headlights, just behind where the front bumper cover and the fenders meet, and you will see a black piece of metal. Hook it and pull straight sideways, and it will pull it out (do on each side)
Remove the screws on the bottom of the bumper
Disconnect the wiring harness it each fenderwell (and the washer tube if you have headlight washers).

Pull bumper straight forward and off.

Then you can remove the turn signals and such from the inside.

THe actual bumper removal is about the same whether it is for a turbo, carrera, gt3, etc.

You don't need to remove the bumper to review the LED turn signals (at least not on the GT2.)

PIWIS schematics show removing the plastic panel below the side of the LED, removal of the wheel/tire, removal of the wheel well liner to access to the wiring harness interface.

D labguy is infamous around these parts
I'm interested in this thread also because I want to install speedart drl's.
I contacted GMP who sells the drl's and they told me that they have customers who was able to replace the front turn signals w/o removing the bumper.
So is it really possible to remove the front turn signals in a 997 turbo without removing the bumper??
If anybody knows how to do this, please let me know.
