Old parts
Old parts
I'm just about to replace my low mileage clutch (13k miles) with a new one that has upgraded pp, change my i/cs to GT2RS ones, and I've already changed my exhaust. Was wondering what to do with the old parts? What are you guys doing? It's not a money issue since selling isn't likely to bring much in but I hate the idea of "waste" by throwing out a clutch, exhaust, or intercooler! I guess I could always post an ad and see if it helps anyone else out. Not sure if anyone is interested in a used clutch but it was babied and would be a helluva lot cheaper than buying a new one. thoughts?
btw, I just LOVE this car. Just started it up after hibernation and drove it briefly when the roads were dry. Can't wait for spring.

I am saving all my "old" parts ( exhaust, suspension, seats, etc. ) in the event that I ever sell my car I can turn it back to stock. Some people think a stock car sells easier??? BTW...I love my car too! Took it out of winter storage this week and got it ready for VIR on Monday & Tuesday.
My basement is a pack rat's haven. You'd be surprised what comes in handy down the road, or what things are worth at a swap meet. Selling outright for cash will probably yield pennies on the dollar, unfortunately. That goes for the OEM parts or many modified parts if you ever convert back to OEM.
I don't plan on selling this car - will drive it till it dies most likely. I'm living my dream and realize that the next gen may be "better" but this is what I've waited for so I will be satisfied to keep it. So keeping the parts in order to switch the car back to oem isn't an issue for me. My wife looks at the large boxes full of parts on the top of the rack and worries that they will multiply. Smart wife.

I've had my stock parts for sale for months with no serious interest. I've resigned myself to just keeping it all. So, unless you want to just give your stuff away, I'd just keep it and store it away in a corner of your garage. Has your car made it out from under snow yet?

Just keep them if you have the room because you'll kick yourself down the road when one of your mods takes a dump & you want to put that part back to stock & find out how much you have to pay retail for a part you sold for pennies or threw out.
I traded my '08 Turbo the other day and am in the same predicament. It will be picked up on Friday. I am removing the TechArt Steering Wheel, TechArt Wing and the Dymags. The car wasn't worth anymore with them than without so removing them. Just out of principle I guess. At least I can paint the wing white & put it on my wife's Turbo S.
I'm doing the same Asher.
Keeping all the stock parts because selling them simply isn't worth it.
Just in case something does go bust, I can always revert to stock until I decide what to replace it with.
Glad you're living your motoring dream bro. It's still a thrill every single time I get behind the wheel.
