NAVTV Sat and freezing while driving

Couple months ago I installed a NAVTV Sat and Tooki, but lately I have been getting a lot of freezing from the SAT unit. Sometimes right off the bat (cranking the engine) some others while driving and listening to music. The last station keeps playing, but You cant change stations, when you go to CD (or radio) and come back to SAT it just does not work anymore. The only way to play it again is by shutting down the whole car, waiting like 30 secs and turn it back up.

Kind of a PITA if you ask me.

Anyone else with this problem that has found a solution?

I went to their website and there pretty much clueless.

You may need a firmware revision/upgrade. Does your box have the USB port for upgrades? Call them.

Mine does it too.. Took it twice to dealership and they couldn't fix it next time I bring it back they said they might switch to a new one under warranty but that they weren't sure that it would fix the prob which may be due to nav tv iPod connection.

So far no problems - just have the Sirius NAV-TV setup and iPod module. No 6CD changer - 2008 TT.

I have the same issues. Drives me nuts. I've found that turning off the PCM before turning off the car and then turning it on after I start the car helps reduce issues.

I'm glad that I'm not the only one, it sux that after paying close to 1000 buckaroos we get this problem. If someone is close to their facility there willing to test the unit live on a car.

They should've done that before they released it for sale, but oh well.

Thanks for all ur replies. Have any of you guys replaced it under warranty to see if that fixes the problem? From the looks of it, looks like it's an inherent problem within the unit. I'm talking to them to see if I get a new unit.

Let's see what happens.

How long have you had the unit? It happens at random after a while.

It's funny I do the same thing. I always turn PCM off before turning my car off. I even wait a minute or so after i start my car to put PCM on. It might reduce the possibility of it happening but I had the problem even when taking this precaution.

What would the dealer be doing to fix it - I think all they can do is check the connections. The two boxes (Sirius receiver and Nav-tv) are sealed. This is a problem for nav-tv to fix. So far I haven't had this problem.

So a PCM update? Do you know what version they loaded - maybe that's the common problem. I'll check my version and post later.
