Extended Warranty

My warranty is about to expire and since I track the car a lot I think the extended warranty would be good value, my problem is that my car was sold in the USA but is now registered in Canada, where I live. I have been told by both US & Canadian dealers that they cannot sell me the Porsche extended warranty because of this. Does anyone know a solution? I’m skeptical of 3rd party warranties but would consider it if there is a really solid one out there. Thoughts?<O</O

Easycare Total Care

I also have a USA car registered in Canada. I bought Easy Care "Total Care" and this was recommended to me by my local Porsche dealer. My Porsche dealer deals with Easy Care on claim and they have not had any issues.

Make sure you buy before your warranty expires, which I did.

Extends 39 months beyond the factory warranty, and you can drive up to 80,000km. I had 35,000km on my car before I bought the warranty.

Cost" $2,000 CAD plus taxes. $100 deductible. No cap on repairs.

I went through the local Porsche dealer when I purchased mine (EasyCare). Wanted to ensure whatever I bought was covered by the place I service my vehicle. In addition, I checked with a reputable independent shop who also confirmed they too would honor the warranty.

No matter who you find to offer coverage, I would first ensure the dealer and or repair facility you work with will honor the policy.

Good luck...
