I have an '07 997 TT. I like the triangle-shaped steering wheels better than the round one mine came with. Are they interchangeable? My car doesn't have any tiptronic/stereo control buttons.

 

Yes, all 2005-2008 997, Cayman/Boxster steering wheels are interchangeable.

 

If you find a steering wheel you like and you are at all handy, swapping the steering wheel yourself is pretty easy to do. I've done it twice and I'd be glad to give you some guidance.

 

aren't there adapters required? or is that just for aftermarket

 

Interchangeable wheels yes but you'll need a new airbag.

 

I've got a triangle one w/ the airbag I'll trade w/ you... I swapped it for a Personal Grinta 330mm wheel, but I'd like to get back to a wheel w/ an airbag... it is from the "stone gray" interior...

LMK if interested, and I'll take pics and we can go from there... (wheel is just sitting in one of my garage cabinets right now)

if you are going to buy a new airbag swap it for the sport steering wheel from the 997 GTS - best looking wheel they have ever done imo.
