People with Cargraphic race exhaust, need your help.

I am almost done installing the cargraphic race exhaust, and one thing got me concerned. The passenger side post cat o2 sensor extension is very close to the cam housing after I bolted everything together. ( around 2-4 mm of clearance)

Is it suppose to be this way or I did something wrong during installation? Well, the cat bypass pipe coming out from the turbo is fixed, it's really hard to mess up the install though. Should I be concerned? or it's just the way it is?

I helped a guy install said system last year, I don't recall anything being that tight. Close, but not that close. Technically you should be ok, but I'd like a little more room. Can you screw the o2 sensors into the cat anymore? maybe a couple of mm there.

Thanks! I can still put in the o2 sensor, but I wouldn't want it to rub on the cam housing while driving though. I guess heat is not a issue.

LOTR is infamous around these parts
Just did mine with the Cargraphic supersound exhaust. Sensors quite a way from anything, as I screwed mine in and out after the exhaust was bolted up. However the exhaust does not sit as it should (slightly down on right hand side-but minor only). But this shows there are some manufacturing errors in how the exhaust sits once it is bolted.

Ditto on mine(race exhaust) it was too close for comfort, had the dealer heat and move it.

Charged me $120(an hours labor).

PS

On install the gap was small, due to heat cycling over server months the 02 extension was touching the cam housing.

Thanks guys!! I will get to a welder tomorrow and have him to move it a little bit.

venkatreddytx,
did you have problem with driver side? There's maybe 1cm of clearance, not sure If i should move them all at the same time.
Thanks again!

Damn, at these prices, one shouldn't have to cut/weld/fabricate to fit. CG quality control issue?

On mine the drivers side was the problem and needed to be moved, passenger side is OK.

Thank guys!
Driverside of mine has about 1cm of clearence, passenger side has about 2 mm. Maybe i should move both og them at the same time?
Im not impressed with the quality of the cg system for the price they retail. My next system will be europipe if they can build me a catless system.

Im a fan of the CG sound but I kind of agree somethings not right, the bolts on mine are rusted to hell. Why cant they spend the extra $4 and use all stainless hardware? It will probably be my last cargraphic.

Guys, Thanks alot for the help. I had to end up move both sensors in just to be safe.
Finally put the car back together yesterday and drove it for a little bit. I have to say it sounds better than the FVD catless system, just a more refined sound. I will have to sell my fvds now for cheap.

It may have faults, but is one of the best sounding cat-less exhaust.

Yes, she's back to one piece and ready to roll. I had to dump some ms109 in there today to compensate the 6 months old gas. We should meet up so you can hear my exhaust, you will like it I promise..
