Angry Rattle noise from rearview mirror

Hey guys. I have rattle noise on my 997.1tt and I think it is coming from rearview mirror. Has anyone experienced the similar issue? Is this something I should take it to the dealer? It is really annoying and drive me nuts!

I have more rattles then any other car I've owned before. At speed it gets drowned out by the exhaust and low-profile tire noise.

i agree with Seattle,
i previously owned cars with over 100K and they were solid.
I too hear rattling noises but its coming from the passenger seat area.

I had a similar problem on my coupe. Took it to the dealer, they worked on it and it came back within about 3 days. Found out that it was the "tool" for the sunroof manual closure. I ripped the cover off, took the tool and tossed it into the glove box. Problem solved

My rearview mirror rattles. It is far worse in the winter and rare in the summer. A little nudge quiets it for a while. IIRC, at some point, in one of the forums, there was a thread on this issue; someday said their dealer fixed it by putting a little piece of tape inside the socket.
