I'm wondering the same thing with my build. I know I'll lose the boost safety net with EBC which is a key one for sure.

There are a lot of failsafes, I cannot mention what exactly, but it is likely safer than the the factory ECU alone.

Is five months the typical turnaround for this package or is it because this was the first car to utilize this package?

Skeeter was kind enough to let us perform development testing on his car hence the lengthy build time. 6-8 weeks is the effective build time on an R911 build. We added our standalone EMS solution to his build, flex fuel capability, developed and finished a production-quality wiring harness for it, built and tested a multitude of different fuel system components, amongst other things.

Yep. I have the same fail-safes on my car. Definitely better than either the Porsche or Nissan factory ECU...
