Sport Mode Software? Upgrade or no upgrade?

I have read multiple threads lately from various owners stating they would only purchase a TT with Sport Chrono. You can now purchase a sport mode package minus the Chrono for a reasonable amount. This adds the over boost software and adds the factory "sport" button with all the presets. My TT doesn't have Sport button, but I recently flashed it, and I am very happy with the results.

My questions is....do you think it would help maintain the value of car to add this sport software though Suncoast? Also I assume I'll get a little more pop from this addition with the tune and exhaust.

Thoughts?

I would not worry too much about that stuff - I highly doubt it would add to the value. Save the money and spend it in a mod that will be more appealing or simply keep it in your pocket.

What about from this aspect.....

My TT dyno'd at 456whp and 518 torque without sport module. I figure the sport software would bump it a but more?

I would not worry about it either. You have to realize that these forums are partly just a gathering place for all of the OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) owners. There are many, many, prospective buyers that will not know or will not care about the lack of Sports Chrono. So, while the majority of member here might not want a non-Chrono car, I just do not think it matters that much for resale or trade-in. Just enjoy your car.

If you look at a dyno run of normal vs sport you would find that the peak hp / tq numbers haven't changed, it all happens at mid range, which BTW is where you really need it.

The dealer we bought our 997.2 tt from told us if we didn't order any other option, to make sure we got the sport chrono. Well okay, but a softronics flash will give you more bang for the buck, and it will always be "on".
