Thumbs up EVOMS New PDK Shifter - Aluminum and Carbon Fiber - "The Bump Stick" Product Launch

The Evolution MotorSports Bump Stick. - RACE INSPIRED DESIGN - STREET CAR REFINED

The inspiration for the “Bump Stick” occurred while Todd Zuccone, founder and president of Evolution MotorSports was on a TV shoot with the Gumpert apollo at the Inde Motorsports Ranch in Willcox, AZ. During a filming break Paul Tracy Jr. and Zuccone made a few laps in the just completed EVOMS 997.2TT EVT650 PDK. This same car would be featured two episodes later on the SpeedTV show, "Battle of the SuperCars".

According to Zuccone, "Paul loved the car. He couldn't say enough about the EVOMS upgrades, tuning and he was very complimentary about the overall feel of the car. But, at the same time, we both laughed at how the OEM PDK shifter just didn't look or feel like it belonged in such an amazing flagship Porsche”.

Zuccone further explains “The design of the OEM PDK shifter doesn’t motivate you to want to use it. If you are not inspired to use it, why have it at all? When I drive this car, I want to feel connected with more interaction to further enhance the overall driving experience”.

After many design ideas, prototypes and material selections, our final design was guided partially by the Cup Car Sequential shifter then refined for use in a street PDK application. Instead of an all-aluminum design, we opted for a more appropriate mix of billet aluminum and carbon fiber. A unique feature we integrated is a “push down” aluminum **** which eliminated the need for a push button like the OEM shifter to select the gears. We feel the combination of materials used, overall design features and unique function of our Bump Stick will make a perfect upgrade to any PDK equipped Porsche.

Way to go and I remember tearing around in your car for a few days with it... Made it fun to actually use the shifter to change gears. The stock one just doesn't work for shifting.
