Yeh I've been meaning to ask whats the story with those crazy bumps on your rear bars over there. I hope thats not compulsory. Anyway if it is, good on ya Ed for breaking the code. Those things really need to go.

Ed, definitely one of the sweetest looking rides out there. Great job!

If you ever decide to change out your wheels keep me in mind. They would look great on my black with terracotta/black interior.

Hey Ken
Without knowing what exactly is included in the kit (i.e. sensor brackets (if you need them), bumper bracket, etc), it's hard for me to gauge the price. But I DEFINITELY paid less than that. I got a nicely discounted brand new OEM Euro bumper from a local shop that had a customer back out at the last minute.
I believe the Suncoast kit uses the FVD modules instead of the control units under the seats to get the kit to work. I don't have experience with it but hear that it does work. Only issues I can see with it is 1) no idea where that module is suppose to sit. If you have ever taken off one of the taillights, you know there is no room behind the light, 2) I was told that the fog light does NOT work with this solution and actually turning it on will cause a light fault on the dash.

Should note that their price does not include paint but does obviate the need for coding at the dealer (which can cost a couple hundred).

Unfortunately, Paul, the back pimples are required here in the States. When I heard this piece was the Euro version, I was a bit hesitant. Thought our small license plates would look strange without the bumperettes, but alas, I couldn't have been more wrong

Certainly will, Barry. And thanks. As a matter of fact, I've been thinking about it recently. Just haven't found a suitable replacement yet. If I decide to sell and can't find a local buyer, you're first on my list

Sorry, just saw this. I had my body shop do the work, so I can't tell you how labor-intensive it was, but he did a spot on job.

Hard to say how this alone affects front lift. I have front and rear aero aside from this, so can't really differentiate its effects from the others. Took the car up to the mountains this past weekend and it's planted (so much so, the front lip scrapes on any quick turn-ins.) Road course will be the true test. Hope to get to one in the next month or two.

Which reminds me, I need to dial in the suspension a bit. Still understeers like a pig and it squats a bit too much up front under hard braking for my liking.

Hey! You actually got a good interior shot with no bugs!

KLZBUGS, it did not that day!

Have you thought about a fire suppression system instead of the FE? The .2 bumper looks great as well!

Ha! Seriously, what the heck were those things that day? Alas, the plate is no more Of course, someone in CA already has it. Will need to think of a suitable alternative.

If this were a full on track car, yes, I'd definitely consider a proper fire suppression system. As it is, it would just be overkill.

Need another proper shoot with the new rear. Come on over to Cali, Ashwin

I have no idea what they were. True, you don't hear of 997s catching fire often/easily.

I was thinking about making a trip out to Cali, I may in the future, I'll let you know when I do. My skills with the camera have grown more than that day too!!

Ed, if you already have a good suspension tuner, never mind - I don't want to get one tuner mad at another one here. Otherwise the one I know has long and excellent experience with KW tuning. Last time we talked I believe he actually was going to install one in one of his cars - don't know if it's the variant 3 though. He will talk to you & look at your tires, etc., and adjust your car accordingly. Above all, cheap rate too!
