After reading numerous posts, opinions, reviews etc I ordered an EP1 from Stef at Europipe. Exhaust has arrived and it will be installed tomorrow.

I will post pics of the installation and some of my car which are pending since I bought the car and subscribed to 6speed.

BTW Stef is a real gent and pleasure to deal with him. He promptly replied to all my emails, provided all required info and assisted in every way.

Ive been considering a swap to the EP1 also, I agree with your comments on Stef, super fast response as well. Looking forward to the pics.

 

I posted pictures of my Europipe install a few months ago, if you want to search this. It is a fun DIY project for the mechanically inclined owner. Steff supplies the specialty tools and great instructions. The product quality is second to none.

I found EP1 (997.1) great with noticeably less turbo lag, faster acceleration, no engine light, and great outside sound with only slightly deeper, but very pleasant in-cabin sound with no drone. The cold start sound to me is a bit too loud and tank-like, but in all fairness, the stock system was louder and raspier on starting cold but just not this bad. And too, on start up, all the other exhaust systems (sound clips) sound much louder and deeper. However, I found this cold start loudness can be avoided by stopping the engine and restarting. A huge thumbs-up for EP1 and Stef. And thanks to TTsurgeon, speed21,alexm and Airmitch for their help with the EP1 decision.
