997.1TT VALVE exhaust options please!
GT-TT, thats a seriously good looking system... it's exactly what I had in mind.... the cat looks very similar to the one on the EP1.... and the tips look great too... Would love to hear the sound... are you using the Capristo electronic module to control the valve?? Do you know where the valve was sourced from??

found out that the valve is similar (or same) with the ones used by the bmw 330 or 335t.
I am not sure what brand the ecu is. The main thing is to tune it properly so it only opens when there is enough pressure in the system.
Also if you go down this route you should really upgrade to an ecu tune and/or higher VTGs. This is where this system shines.

GT-TT: Yes, I've seen your posts before... I think what you've done is really clever... did you take photos during the build??? Do you have a exact list of parts including the valve you used and the controlled etc (links?)....
How much did the whole thing cost you??? I have considered adding a valve to the EP1.... PLEASE DON'T SHOOT ME!
Vivid: Yes, I've seen your exhaust before, but the youtube recordings are unreliable and your car is highly modified, whereas mine is stock... if you can post 'accurate' sounding clips of a stock car with your exhaust I will consider... thought I was after a fully welded unit to avoid the problem with clamps discussed all over the place... is it guaranteed drone free on a tiptronic? Feel free to PM me a price...

Would love to hear from more valvetronic users... did you have another aftermarket exhaust previously? How do they compare? Did you have any reliability issues with the valve? Did you switch to something else??

Well... after not being able to shed any further info on the matter, I have bitten the bullet and ordered the EP1 for the car... I'm sure I will be thrilled with it! Can't wait!

Nah, I've read up on the install and whilst it doesn't seem all that bad, I don't want to get caught out with a frozen bolt and a half pulled apart car...
So I'm going to let the Porsche Centre Gold Coast sort it all out for me and I'm sure then I won't have as much to worry about if there is a warranty issue with some other part of the car....
