Paint protection film (aka clear bra) does not have the optical clarity required to be placed onto the windshield.

For those outside of our Norcal and Socal facility areas, please contact Prestige regarding their product. sales@prestige-films.com
This is going to sound stupid, but I need to ask it.

If the optical clarity is superior with Diamond Fusion, and it has the ability to protect the windshield from stone chips, why doesn't the manufacturer of Diamond Fusion create the same material for the entire car?

They do make paint protection film as well. We have already switched and been installing their product on our customers' vehicles for the past 12 months.

I'm assuming you wouldn't have made the switch unless you saw improved clarity from what you were using before.

I wish you guys were in the midwest.

Yes, clarity is much better than what we see on the market. We were also a bit tired of Venture and 3M's quality in product / service diminish.

We are teaming up with Prestige to get some proper representation of paint protection film, Diamond Fusion, and other services. We will soon be providing installation and sales training to other areas for Prestige.

I am very curious as to the first time someone with film on their windshield is involved in an accident. All it takes is for the customer to say his vision was imapred... even the slightest, and a major lawsuit is on hand. It sucks that we live in a country like this but it is a serious concern to address. I am not sure what the laws are in California either but I know in some states it is ilegal to apply any film to the windshield.

Interesting assumption. Keep in mind this is a clear product. How this product looks from the inside of the vehicle is how it looks in person. These photos were not taken with a point and shoot $200 camera....

With your assertion, it is quite possible that those who have window tint on their front windows or have applied Rainx would have a case as well. In reality, without full understanding of the product, assumptions can easily be made....as in this instance. Please contact the manufacturer to obtain a sample of the product so you may see its true clarity before making assumptions. We have been in business for longer than most in this entire industry and have the experience to distinguish between regular products from the quality ones.

However, your concern is duly noted. We just ask that those not familiar with the product to not make assumptions and base it on information after performing proper research. Thank you.

And for those who do not have access to a good film installer and your glass needs to be changed out, just be very critical with those changing out your windshields. Not to generalize all glass installers on the market being like those in this video, we just believe it is necessary to pass on this information so that everyone here can be more alert. The windshield is a safety item on the vehicle and if not installed properly can critically affect structural integrity of an automobile.

I am not taking a shot in any way at you guys. This has always been a question of mine as I have heard (never been able to find proof) that it is illegal to apply anything to the windshield. My point in bringing it up here is that maybe you have researched it and found the answer. The guys at ProLine (who has a poor product IMHO) could not give me that answer. This is simply out of curiousity. Unfortunately we live in a country where everyone is just looking for any reason to sue someone... and if there was an accident this would be a reason no matter how perfectly clear the film is.

Anyway I love the looks of the product and you guys are the experts in film. How would one go about getting some samples of their windshield film as well as their PPF?

Agree with you regarding this other company's product. Tested it and did not like it.

And now photos of a piece of windshield that is half covered with Diamond Fusion to illustrate the optical clarity of this product by Prestige Film Technologies

Do these come with the solar polerized tint? Purplish tint as a reference?

I'm sure it protects the original glass, but what happens when a rock marks the plastic? It seems like it would leave a nick just like the paint protection films do. I ended up removing my Venture shield crap from my nose area as the rocks just made it look almost as bad as chipped paint. I gave up, it's a lost cause.

Your experience with paint protection film is in stark contradiction with our customers' experiences. Paint protection film is designed to take the brunt of the impact over years of driving to maintain the OEM paint.

If you take the time to view the Barbara Walters video above regarding windshield replacement safety, you will see why such a product like Diamond Fusion is so important to retain your OEM glass. Will the film wear over time and get nicks, yes it will. It is not indestructible. If someone sold you on the product (whether this product or paint protection film) as never marring or getting damaged over time and will hold up to all debris, then your installer oversold the product.
