Would you buy a 997tt withouth Sport Chrono
The SC adds even greater additional mid range torque to a flash making a LOT more overall power output than that same flash will with out SC.
So it is imperative to have a sport chrono option to squeeze every last bit of engine tuning performance from your flash software.

^^That is true. However with Sorts Chrono you have the option of being able to mix it up a bit, ie: Normal mode can have a more moderate boost setting with a regular or slightly higher sensitivity to the throttle.....still very powerful and satisfying for the majority of driving situations, and then you can have another completely different tune setting for the Sports mode with a higher boost level and a more sensitive throttle response etc.

Is the 911 Turbo a sports car or not? Do you ever want moderate power or all the power? It's like the BMW M5/M6 having an iDrive setting for the amount of power it can deliver.
I can't think of any driving situation when I don't want all the power and the best throttle response.
I wish the 911 were more straight forward.

But the throttle response is a little twitchy for city driving imho when in sport mode, more so with the tune than stock.

My sentiments exactly. I guess since I don't have normal mode I don't notice anything unusual. My "SC equivalent" flashed tune is smoother than stock.
I also live in a city and my clutch is smoother when SC is not engaged. The car feels less twitchy. Its not that it changes the clutch feel (it doesn't) but the mapping is different and it allows for more relaxed driving in stop and go traffic. Once I am out of the city the SC is always engaged. My car is completely stock (for now). Its great that we have that option.

overboost changes the torque curve, which in turn MUST change the hp curve. A la, your hp is achieved faster/slower.
Yes, that is true. However, for a non-SC optioned car with a flash, the tuner can install the "SC" map so that you have it all the time. No need to push the sport button, just the pedal. So in the end, the non-SC flashed car is equivalent to an SC optioned flashed car in terms of the tune and power.
