Ruby Red color

How rare is this color? I was recently in the dealership for a airbag light reset and he was telling me he's never seen my color before...only in the advertising posters. Anybody know?

Thanks

Nick

it def is not a common color. Would love to know what % of cars is each color. I too have Ruby Red, but have only seen a Panny in Ruby Red, not another 911 yet.

I love it but probably would not get it instead of my more common arctic.

My previous C4S was ruby red. When I traded it for my turbo the dealer made some disparaging remarks about how hard they were to sell. I told him if he wouldn't talk about my momma, I wouldn't talk about his. We got along fine after that......you get the picture. Best,

PS I thought it was a beautiful color and car!!

my first post yay!! lol
I'm considering a ruby red 997 but would like to know what the general concesus is on this particular color? would it be hard to sell later on?
Thanks

Sorry about the thread revival, I thought would be easier to continue rather than new thread

Very rare with 997, even rarer with 997 Turbo. I've seen pics, but never a Turbo in real life with this color.

It's beautiful and I love it!

supbimm,

Hogwash, but I'm prejudiced. Unusual colors are all the rage in Porsches. Who wants a basic silver, or white or black one? (Sorry to those who have such!).

Ruby Red is gorgeous in person. I get oohs and ahhs all the time. The boring colors are just for people who can't make a decision or take a moderate risk.

Go for it, all else being good with the car.

Nick

NYnick, thanks for your response, I agree with you as I always thought this type of color suits porsches well. I once had a red car and yeah got speeding ticket even though other cars were flying past me

By the way, the 997 im looking at is a 997 c4s and not a turbo

I just bought a silver 78SC with Anaconda Green Fuchs and Anaconda Green Carrera script.
I'm not one for passive Porsches. LOL

I would trade mine for a RR TT in a sec, as long as it has a black dashboard (tan or black seats). Love the color.

It's definitely a cool color but i am more of traditionalist i suppose. As far as uniqueness, it definitely fits the bill.

I love looking at the different, unique and bold colors on 911's - but when it comes to actually owning one I personally wouldn't venture outside of the classic black, silver and white that Porsche's are known for.

Nothing beats a well cared for black car - lots of work but totally worth it

+1 for Ruby Red. It's beautiful with two-tone beige/black leather
