Dating the Widow Maker

The Marine Corps’ first-generation Harrier Jets, similar to the GT2, came with one of a kind performance, but also like the GT2 became known as widow makers – the jets were considered the most dangerous and hardest aircraft to pilot in U.S. military.

So the GT2 has its reputation, but what other high performance cars should require a mandatory will before you’re allowed to drive them off the lot? The F40 comes to mind; just that reputation alone makes me want to own one. What other cars have gained the reputation of widow makers?<v:shape style="z-index: 251658240; position: absolute; margin-top: 0px; width: 50pt; height: 50pt; visibility: hidden; margin-left: 0px;" id="_x0000_s1026" class="inlineimg" title="Stick Out Tongue" src="http://images-2.ibsrv.net/ibsrv/res/src:www.6speedonline.com/get/forums/images/smilies/tongue.gif" alt="" border="0" smilieid="6" stroked="f" filled="f" path="m@4@5l@4@11@9@11@9@5xe" o=""></v:shape><v></v><v:textbox><table width="100%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tbody><tr><td style="border: medium none rgb(212, 208, 200); background-color: transparent;">

Any air cooled Pcar turbo from the 930-964. For mere mortals driving these at 80-85% on a track or canyon is not bad but anything north of that you better be Walter Rohrl or Horts von Sauma.

Yes, just about all of the killer sports cars were made during the 80s. Beyond Porsche, the corvette had the worst rep of them all.
