Solution to skipping CD

Hey all,

So I don't know if any of you have noticed but when you are listening to the single CD/MP3 in the dash, and you turn your car off, it will skip ahead by itself next time you turn the car on. It will be sometimes 4-5 songs ahead next time you turn on the CD player. I'm not sure if it just skips, or the CD player actually stays on and just continues playing while the car is off.

Anyway, what I figured out is if you switch the audio back to FM or AM before you turn the car or CD player off, the CD will start back at the same spot it was at before you switched to the radio, next time you turn on the car/stereo. Sorry if you guys already knew this or if this is a repeat thread. Oh, my car is an 07 997 turbo

I've experienced this in both 997's I've owned - in my first 997 C2 the dealership told me it was a low battery and replaced the battery (only to have it happen again) - second time in the TT they told me they had never heard of a low battery causing this and told me it was normal.

Don't you just love stealerships? They're supposed to be the "experts"...
