Estimate power for a modded TT
I have NOT done the upgrades yet but will within 4 weeks. I am waiting for my GT2 build to be completed and in my hands before I pass over my 997.2TTS.
Skeeter:
I agree with this (power loss w/Exhaust upgrade) but what if you remove the cats? or ven add hi-flow cats?
Thanks,
Slow
From what I've read, headers aren't needed till you start doing big hp upgrades...I had 200cel cats and honestly noticed nothing...I will say they were made very nicely and fit very well...I bought them because I got a great deal on the whole setup...

CAI won't do much for you other than add some bling to your engine bay.
Headers won't add much either. I would save that money and apply it towards a new clutch. You will be needing one soon with those mods.

Am Im looking at the Sachs/AWE St2.5 Clutch? or should I get the Sachs St3 Clutch w/ LW Flywhl?
I hear the Sachs 2.5 is more than sufficient for modeate upgrades like exhaust and tune. I went with a stage 3 just in case I wanted to do more than what I currently have. The LWFW will give you much quicker throttle response and your heel toe downshifts will be much livelier too. The down side is the chatter you will hear at idle.

Im thinking of doing some mod(s) to my car and I'd like to know in advance how much power a TT possesses with the following mods:
exhaust
tune
headers
ipd plenum/tb
fabspeed CAI
evom BRV
Will I need to upgrade my clutch too once all the above mods installed? Thank you in advance for any insight to this matter.

PS. a set of .2tt I/C's would be a nice addition so to keep everything as safe as possible in high temps. At @ $1K they are a cheap investment.

I would be very careful about any mods on a 997.2tts. Porsche has made this car mod-unfriendly IMO.
Honestly, the car needs nothing. Folks on this board have dyno'd a stock tts at 480whp on the same dyno where a 997.1tt yeilds around 380hp at the rims, that's more like 560hp at the crank....stock
Plus, the pdk is very limited, as is the ecu. The minimal gains are not worth frying the warranty on a 160k car with a potentially fragile, expensive transmission.
My only mod to date is limited to a gt2 alignment, and this car is considerably faster than my old blue car.
Jmo, sometimes less is more.

. I'm quite sure Todd K would have developed a tune that gives full consideration to the constraints of the PDK box. A .2tt with a manual tranny would allow a few more opportunities though

I have gotten used to it and the quicker throttle response is well worth the trade off for me.
It's annoying beyond belief IMNSHO ... Sounds like a box of rocks in the tranny getting all crunched by the gears. Exactly like that.
I dont hear the chatter? However it does hit gears hard when set on Sport Plus. I guess it may be aftermarket clutches?
My Panamera however is smooth as silk in any conditions.
BTW: I did add a tune to my TT Panamera and gained a nice 60 WHP. I am right under 9K miles and no problems at all.

Hey JmanE55, give me a shout when you decide to do the Air Intake and Exhaust, and I will work up a nice member package deal for you. I would do the Mufflers and Headers to let the Turbo come on sooner and faster, but also make a sweet sound. The Mufflers with Sport Cats will make about 25+ HP and the Headers will also make an improvement depending on the application. We have a 2.50" exhaust setup and 2.75" setup depending on your needs. The Air Intake will also make a few more HP overall but make 15-20+ in some areas of the RPM range. Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
