997.1 turbo stock engine mounts

I have a 2009 997 turbo cabriolet. It has 18k miles on it and is driven daily. I was reading a post about how the engine mounts could break or become loose resulting in more drivetrain movement. What are the chances of this happening in an otherwise stock car? Is there a way for me to check if they are alright? I've got the car 2 oil and filter changes so far and new tires. Is there anything else I need to take care of before the 20k mark? Alignment? I'm planning on taking the car across the nation next summer from long island to LA and up the entire pch.

The only way engine mounts would go on 20k miles is if you really abuse the car. Torque solutions/ Wevo make some good engine mounts that really benefit the car, under acceleration, stopping, and a more direct raw feel. As far as 20k service... im at 28k and ive changed my spark plugs, fuel filter, air filters, cabin filters, all fluids, breaks/rotors and 2 friggen day time running light bulbs that just died on me.

consider your spare tire options when travelling that far from home! Plan ahead, at least map out dealers or tire stores along the way who stock the sizes.
