Full ABS/Panic Stop - Do I need to check anything?

So I leave work a little early to take my wife to lunch but she already ate by the time I got home. Park the DD and fire up Turbo to take a little ride to get a sandwich. About half way there, a service van decides to make a left from the right lane not more than 40-50 feet (approx) in front of me. I swear I thought there was no way I was going to stop as I was on the gas at the time but I did a full panic stop with ABS (first time BTW in this car) and was amazed how quickly the car came to a halt with a few feet to spare.

I'm sure the car is fine and I'm more writing this to vent but want to make certain there is nothing I need to check. Tires don't lock up so there would be no flat spots and the car is driving fine....... my heart was beating in my chest as all I could think about while it was happening is that I could not believe I was going to smash up my new Turbo.

Thanks for letting me vent.

Underwear is right... My P-car scared me plenty of times... Not saying your a bad driver but you should take advantages of the Porsche Club Drivers Education programs. Really learn the limits of the car and utilize it to the fullest.

You should hammer on the brakes more often. Really. You'll have a better feel for the stopping power you have and you should be comfortable and confident mashing the brakes 100% - just be careful about the people behind you

You beat me to it! <label for="rb_iconid_14"></label>

Panic stops are something most people don't even think about until they GET INTO IT.

Go out and practice it more. Your car is begging you to do it! <label for="rb_iconid_6"></label>

Car will be fine. I've done more than 5 back-to-back full-on stops from 200mph down to about 50mph in about 500 metres without any issues at runway speed events in my old GT2.

Agree with earlier post recommending attending a PCA DE. You will have more fun than should be allowed by law AND you'll be a better driver. You've got an awesome car so enjoy it the way it was meant to be driven!

Thanks guys. I knew in my heart the car was fine.

I am a solo qualified driver with NASA and Chin from when I lived in FL a couple years ago but I have not taken the TT to the track yet. Looking forward to doing just that as my prior track car was an M3 and I have a feeling the TT will blow my mind.
