I was going to suggest these, but I thought I would get in trouble.

I have the Fabspeed dual tips and like them. Would like to have black tips. Can they be powder coated and will they take the heat and look good over time ?

That's not rust on the exhaust cans, rather heat caused discoloration of stainless steel...it happens at these temps.

Don't powder coat - ceramic coat them.

Are Fabspeed and Awe same ones? Awe states for their muffler only but if the OEM ones fit their exhaust you think it would fit others as well reversed?

I am leaning towards either the Fabspeed black chrome or polished Techart.
I put the Fabspeed ones on my '07. Flared out tip-lips carboned up in no time. Pain in butt to have to keep cleaning with cloth. Thought I wanted a change from the factory tear-drop, but was happy to put them back on. I think the Fabspeed ones need a rolled lip on the tips like the factory ones to minimize the carbon-blackening effect. Besides, the holes are teardrop and match better the designed designed factory tips. I really thought the circular ones in the tear drop holes looked a bit odd and bad boy racy. Rolled lips would look better and stay carbon-black clean longer imo. I like the chrome accent, however, and getting my factory tips chromed.

If you have the EP exhaust then tech arts are your best option plus you can't go past the fit and finish. Stef says the fabspeed type quad tips cause a farting sound too on the EP.

Can't remember if gmoney has EP1 or EP2 - TechArt's won't work on EP2 - diameter of EP outlet too big. Stef does make a large round tip (think GT2) - contact him for pictures.

Your right. If he has EP2 then tech arts are out. He'll need something with a bigger diameter.

Look great on my turbo, but minus the bow. Something for cat lovers. Did you have a link for the cat-tips??
