Why put whistle tips on when you can go the fab farting tips. That'll fix the neighbours.

Paul, isn't the Techart tip the one where one of the hole, the lateral hole, is blocked with a piece of metal?
Functionally it most likely doesn't matter, but conceptually the blocked hole could be bothersome to some. Just trying to help here.

Johnww, I have the Fabspeed for 2-3 years now, and maybe I misunderstand something, but I have no problem like what you described "carbon blackening"? It's a simple stainless steel finish, everything washes off no? And the soot comes out with such power and chaos, a "rolled lip" would reduce the mess?

My tips have chrome finish and look great when chrome is wiped off. When it carbons up with a couple days drive, they look black, show no beveled outward rim (black now) and when black... looks like 4-huge black holes. At least with the rolled lip like with factory, the lip doesn't get lost from black carbon. I guess without a turbo like on a GT3, the solid blackening of the slanted outward rim wouldn't be such a problem.
I tried to find round tips with a rolled-lip, but no such luck unless I bought the entire exhaust like SpeedArt has. I just chose EP1 because of exhaustive 6speed-recommendations.

Are fabspeed tips compatible with Tubi exhaust ? Do fabspeed tips come in one size ?

Thanks

Price on the switzer tips? Assuming they fit all exhausts that accept the oem tip. They look great.

The Fabspeed tips will work with any aftermarket muffler as long as its designed off stock specs, so if you are able to us the stock tips, then ours will bolt right on. If the exhaust system uses larger tubing like 70mm or more, then it will require larger tip inlets which the exhaust vendor should supply. I hope that helps.
thanks,

You're right on the one hole blocked but a similar aesthetic issue also applies to the Fab Can. The problem with any of these tips is that at certain angles and under certain light such at night when there is a car behind you in traffic the headlights expose the fact there is only the one hole anyway. The fab's are a lot like the Carrera S dual tip where it's obvious the dual outlet look is just a dummy. It's a pity Porsche doesn't produce a true 4 outlet exhaust system.

my concern with the quad tips is the "connector plate" or piece that connects the dual tips together, being so apparent from the back. Here's a pic of the maxspeed nhp to describe what I'm talking about:

Anyone have any pics of the fabspeed and/or schnell's showing this angle to see if they suffer from the same thing?

no hijack here, but to what extent do tips impact the exhaust note or volume? Anybody know?

Someone just addressed this in another thread (or another forum) - I'll see if I can find it.

They arent ever going to do a true dual pipe because of where the muffler is. You are just better off running a larger single pipe rather than 2 smaller ones.
I wish someone would make a cool looking single tip. There is NOTHING worse than a 1.3 engine with quads... or any type of fake tip. Even the ones with a bigger diameter after the pipe are lame. Different tips will make different sounds depending on flow. If you restrict it, make it "freer flowing in theory only" ( think bigger pipe), or make a "dual" and make some air flow farther all of that plays into the sound
