What would give you a higher Pleasure Value = (# of drives) X (drive enjoyment)?

I love the GT2, as well as the GT3, both in 997 and 996 variants, however, in your shoes I think I would go with a 997 Turbo. Your post suggests that you track the GT3 and you will never get rid of it, the GT2 is a dream car but has not been useful in your current situation. You would like to have a Porsche the family can ride in and the GT2 doesnt do that for you.

I would say get the turbo based on the requirements you have. Either way you cannot go wrong, seriously, what an awesome dilemma haha

You would never have the driving experience in the 997 GT3 and 997 Turbo that the 996 GT2 will give you. This car is exceptionnal. I had a 2002 GT2, it's a kart on the streets.

How often I can drive the car is a major consideration right now. It gets frustrating leaving the cars in the garage whenever my son is going with us, particularly because he loves cars too.

Yeah, there are a lot worse things in life than picking between a turbo and a GT2. I'm pretty thankful I'm able to have these options.

noooo way, you own a piece of history with that gt2, turbo's are a dime a dozen unfortunately, you have the last REAL widow maker, if you decide to sell shoot me a PM.

Very personal decision, but given your circumstance and ability to afford this type of decision I'd go for the 997 turbo. No doubt you have a special car but IMO you'll also find the 997 very special and extremely capable.

To those who say a 997 turbo is a dime a dozen...LOL...compared to what? I always chuckle when I see this statement. Yes, there are fewer GT2/GT3RS models produced, every Porsche enthusiest knows this, but I don't believe this warrants calling out the 997 turbo as a dime a dozen automobile.

ON the north shore of Long Island, 997 turbo's are a dime a dozen......if you know the area and surrounding ones there is no further need to explain this.

Well, I did it. Traded the GT2 for a 997 Turbo in Atlas Gray (my favorite color) with full natural gray leather, complete carbon package, PCCB's and full stitching throughout. I'm sad to see my GT2 go, but this car is pretty amazing, and my son fits in the back just fine. Some of you might know this car - it was for sale on 6speed in 2009, I'm the 3rd owner.
