New 2011 twin turbo cabriolet
My new triple black 2011 TT Cab will be here shortly. I would rather drive my 2008 into a lake before i trade it in to my dealer for what he offered. it was $165k 3 years ago and i added $6k of wheels and tires. has an entire year left on the warranty and only 30k miles. i have had every service and pccb brakes. any ideas where i could post it for sale? etc. thanks, pix are on my profile. ben

Don't worry bensto. Same thing happens here with resale and trade in $ on these cars. Q. How do you lose 1/4 of a million dollars in 4 years? Easy. Buy a new TTS for 450K then sell it 3 to 4 years in for 200 (that's if your lucky to sell it B4 the new 991tts comes out). Just enjoy the new toy bensto and try not to think too much about whats in store 3 years on from now. Better get the car ready for swim .

First of all keep the wheels.
How much are is the difference between a third party sale and the number the dealership is offering? Remember you always pay taxes on the difference not the new vehicle price agreed. You can try putting it on Autotrader, ebay, here on forums. I found it a little annoying with dealing tire kickers and auto brokers calling/low-balling on a private sale endeavor, be ready to have a couple of aspirins. Or just work the dealer hard. In any scenario, you will forget about this 2-3 weeks after the sweetness of the new car kicks into your blood. If not sooner. Good Luck!

i got the center lock wheels on new one so can't keep wheels. i think i could get 92-95k for it. it is in perfect condition and has all the options including sport chrono, $4k sycamore package, door jams with illuminated turbo on them, etc. got every option. LOL. at least the fish will have a nice place to live. if anyone knows someone, let me know.

Sound advice except bensto's going to need something on it to roll it into the lake. It's far too heavy to throw.

Can't say I'm guilty of that crime at this stage (altho i sense my time is coming unfortunately) but it's true that's the current price for a new .2TTS. There are a couple of Aussies on this board (gerbs and mhh) that have smoked the crack pipe i believe. I think the pipe is now to become a standard feature offered by Ausses Porcshe dealers to the customers. Im told its all up from here so 991tt is hardly going to any cheaper.
