Has anyone ever imported a car from Canada??
What issues (except road salt) should I be concerned with. And is it easy to register?? I am a New York State resident.

 

I think that venture could be pretty ugly (read expensive and long). Plus the exchange rate sucks right now so I say forget it.

 

we have day time running lights; speedo in km not mph - other than that keep out of montreal cars.

most of them up here don't see much winter.

usually a lot more strd options - most have heated seats!!!!

 

Cars are cheaper in your area. Canadians import 20 000 + cars per month from the US.

Be very careful of Quebec cars as cars with salvage titles in other areas get brought into Quebec and suddenly have clean titles.

 

Never heard of it done in that direction. I had mine imported from the states, well not me my broker :P
I'd imagine it would be pretty expensive the other way round. Cars in the states are generally cheaper.

 

Thanks all. There seems like there are too many unknown issues. My turbo search is going on 11 months now and with an Ice Blue Trubo S coupe on the market I had to investigate.

Why would you want a buy a car from here? They are all over priced, we come and buy cars from you guys... If you really want to Spend Extra $$$$ and get Lease colour combo's just STAY OUT OF QUEBEC!

PS: Pfaff and Downtown Porsche have very good Rep. My car is from Pfaff
