Coated OEM exhaust Tips :)

After much debate on what exhaust tips to go with I decided to have my OEM ones coated matte black. VERY happy with the turn out! Anyone thinking of doing this...do it! enjoy

Those look great. DIY or did you send them out? I had mine ceramic coated satin black but they could stand a little freshening up.

PS: you need to post that first picture on the thread below:

You definitely have a rear-end worthy of posting there.

I had them done by "East Coast Power Coating", very happy with them.

So are they flat black or a satin? I know you can get flat and glossy PC Blacks but I have yet to see a satin. I have a great power coater nearby that could probably do it. The Ceramic coating I have is very thin and starting to flake a bit here and there after three years/20k miles.

Anodizing your exhaust tips - or perhaps rims and other things??

Hi Folks... Have you ever tried to anodize your tips?? Have a look at this company.
http://www.pkselective.com/

Based in San Jose, they can anodize all metals (and plastics) with any type of color or design.

Pete Kellett is the owner... Google him... His work will amaze you!!!

I would say closer to satin. They used a "high temp" coat they use on headers. Charged me $57 with shipping

i like the back label - simple but the 911 adds a little extra & i am always one who liked colouring those things.

all looks good with the silver paint, black tips et al.

looks amazing. I have a set of AWE with the black chrome, its just not as dark as I hoped for. thinking of doing the powder coat after their newness wears off. Did the plating need any sanding or prep?
