this happened to me a couple of times during my first 2 weeks of ownership, read somewhere that if you let it idle for 60 seconds after spirited driving before shutting down it should cure the smoking issue at the next start up. I've followed this now and haven't seen any smoking since but it's only been a month

give it a try and see if it cures the issue
