Sway bars, KW coils, control arms, wider tires will get you close in terms of handling.

Tune/exhaust and you'll be eating those GT3s for breakfast.
Sold! Haha

My Gtr was doing 580whp.. Full turbo back, no cats, 90mm piping.. Cobb pro tuned, upgraded ams intercooler and pipes, sway and springs, aligned.. Used carbotech xp12 pads, trans and oil cooler upgrades, pushing 21psi...and a bunch more .. Was a great track car but I missed a manual

Im with you on the MT, it just feels more connected to the car when you row your own gears. I too had a 10 GTR with a few mods but it's NOT for me either. You'll definitely like the 997TT.

Yea I figure it'll be almost as fast as the Gtr, but manual.. I also wasn't a fan of the weight of the Gtr.. Would prefer the gt3 as I said but the turbo is a happy median.. At least I can use it as a daily driver if I need to.. Hopefully my daughter recaro booster will fit

Already planning my mods.. Full suspension, brake pads and fluids and lines, stickier tires for track days (probably a second set of wheels) , probably change out the shifter/steering wheels and seats with alcantara ones ... Some minor power mods afteri try it out at a track day or two and see my comfort levels

Yea alot of Gtr guys use your stuff with rave reviews.. As a tuner you think the 997.1 is a sturdier engine for tuning than the .2?

Opinions on the 996 TT? I originally ruled it out but some people are saying its as good a tuning platform as the 997? And the 997 would handle better regardless I guess based on the extra structural rigidity

997.1 is much sturdier. When you can hit 1100HP at the crank on the stock internals, there is something to be said about the design.

The 997TT is a much better platform for tuning than the 996TT, and the interior is noticeably much nicer.

Oil and transmission coolers?

Wow.... you will not have to do that crap on the Turbo at all. Just pads, suspension if you want it, and drive.

The dual clutch GR6 trans in the GTR builds a lot of heat, there is a lot of things going on in that box. The GTR also weighs over 4000lbs with a driver and full tank of gas...

Yea the coolers were nessassary if you pushed the Gtr on track.. My oil temps would get high and the gauge would turn red if I was going for it after a few sessions..

I would do suspension before anything else on the turbo.. With pads and tires .. Liked the toyo r888 I used before

We just got in a turbo S cab... Man those are nice.. All pdk though, and it's $180k!! A used 2007 would work

Any major changes from 07-09 as far as track useage ?
