997.2 Intercoolers and 32psi
997.2 Intercoolers and 32psi
I put on order at my local Porsche dealer a set of 997.2 intercoolers.
Besides the porsche upgrade, i'm doing this mod because i already have plans for the current 997.1 intercoolers for another car. It is a BMW 535d (3.0l variable TwinTurbo diesel engine) that is making at the moment 380hp/520ft-lb and 32psi of boost. Will the 997.1 plastic end tanks, clamps and hose connectors good enough to hold 32psi, because i've seen members complaining some leaks at 23psi. Will the CNC connectors of the silicone hoses kit ensure better seal?

Once the dealer need 2 weeks to get the IC's, i found a way to get them in just one day with 25% of the final price of the dealer. The dealer quoted 531,97€ each and i found a way to get them for 400€ (vat included) in just one day. I ordered a set yesterday afternoon and at today lunch i already had my set. These are genuine Porsche GT2RS IC's (997.110.639.71 and 997.110.640.71). If anyone is interested, i'm willing to help.

You can find more info about my car in forums.5series.net. I'm a active member with the same name.

Yes, the FMIC kit that i bought is made for the 335i. Besides the plastic trimming to fit the IC, i also had to change the angle of the inlet pipe (from 45º to 0º) and the IC brackets to reuse the original supports from the car.
