Thinking of mods

Hi all,

Have a 07 TT with tubi and a softronic tune. Love the performance and have not had any issues to date however I have the same sickness most of us on here have, I want to make it better. So I've been looking at adding the following:

1. GT3 Throttle body
2. IPD Plenum
3. EVOMS boost circulation valves.

I've searched the forum and have seen a few threads on the benefit of the above mods but I want to get some feedback on the "bang of buck" factor of these mods and whether I would notice a difference. Also would I have to have my tune remapped based on these mods. Thanks much!

Honestly, those mods won't yield you very much on their own. I'd venture to guess you wouldn't feel the difference.

Interesting. I'm curious as to why most people who have tunes tend to go with these mods.

Not just a tune. Usually higher (>700ish crank) HP applications with upgraded/larger turbos. Granted, many owners probably have them putting down far less power. Doesn't mean they're doing much, though.

well you wouldn't feel the differenceits
anyway its great that you like your car , my advise to you to let ESMOTOR tune your TCU (tiptronic control unit) to shift faster and raise your rev limter if you have auto tranny !!

Not sure I'm ready for that just yet I'm satisfied with the power just curious as to whether I would see any improvments in throttle response.

Start with exactly what you want the end state be and what you want out of the car, e.g., drag racing, road racing, top end power, drive ability and etc.

After that go with a tuner that can give you the end result, if you go all in, or step you into it (so that you can re-use what has been done to the car). I don't recommend mixing and matching from different suppliers without working with a top end tuner.

Most of the time, mixing and matching components will not result in the desired outcome.

Good luck with your mods and I can't wait to see what you get done.

Cheers.

512BB

Problem is not sure what I want out of the car. From a HP/torque standpoint I really feel happy with the car, my conern was whether or not the items I'm considering would benefit my current setup. Does not seem to be he case based on feedback.

I think I need to drive down to Sharkwerks!

Hey quick it's not ending I'm just trying to spicen up the relationship a bit I guess one of the downsides of buying a moddd car is you do not get to experience the progression. So that is my goal to slowly make noticeable changes until my love affair does end.

So as I've stated I'm happy with the power I defnitely do not need more. Suspension on bilsteins and hr sways is good but I'm thinking about tinkering with that as well.

CONFUSED!
