Where is Larry?

There was a wonderfully helpful guy named Larry ( I believe) that posted a lot. I have not seen him chime in recently. He was quite helpful with pricing used cars and making recommendations on purchases.

Is he still around? I think him name was something like yrralis1 ( Larry is 1 or something similar).

People move on, priorities change. Turnover is the nature of online forums. I certainly don't frequent the same sites I did a few years ago. He may be browsing the forums, but, according to his profile, he hasn't logged on since 12/11.

Too bad. Yes priorities change but love for cars hopefully doesn't.

Wherever he is I hope he's doing well. His posts were always useful to me when I was shopping for my car - can't believe it's been 2 years already.

Speaking of guys gone MIA, wonder where spoolnV8 went, maybe I'll start a similar thread. I was going to buy some parts from him.

Oh, Larry's still around. He may chime in. He's grown a bit weary of the ever growing number of trolls on the forum. Good thing he doesn't post on the M3 forum, it's hopeless! I'm tempted to buy a Porsche again because I can't stand the M3 community!

Larry is a class act and his quotes are second to none. I fortunately get to interact with him on a regular basis. I could a start s sticky of his quotes and it would be like going to an university for a newbie looking for Porsches. I don't see him ever tiring of Porches and cars are an integral part of his life. I wish I could meet him personally one of these days.

It is odd actually. I sure hope he's ok. Larry's always been a very passionate player and always a very respectful person and I did note there were some pretty disrespectful carryings on toward him late last year on one or two threads. That kind of thing could really tick anyone off. A lot of the stuff lately has been chewed on for quite some time now. Perhaps the newer 991 models may revive some fresh discussion. Anyway he's definitely a Porsche guy so he must be out there...maybe shopping for 991 as we speak...If you're out there larry best of luck mate.
