Questions on doing a 3.8 or 4.0 conversion

Hey Folks,

Can anyone enlighten me with their knowledge or experience on stroking the 3.6 engine.

I am looking to make a solid and real 800+awhp on 93 octane and I assume stroking is the only way to that end.

Or if you have a built motor with stock displacement and e85, I'm sure you could do it no problem...On 93, I'd guess you'd have to stroke it, but not sure what it would put down...

750whp @17-18psi on 91 octane still not bad I guess.

750plus requires upgraded head studs for the increased boost levels, you can pull this off with a 3.6

Boca, take a look at these threads. We've done that power level with VTG's on an upgraded 3.8L. It can be done easily...just takes time and $$ unfortunately.

Build Complete.......for now.
3.8L VTG GT2 Upgrade Taking Shape...

Also, you can take a look at this gallery for pictures of some of the parts we use and modifications we do to the engine.

We've done it with VTG's on a 3.6L. Rods, pistons, 68mm VTG's and a decent helping of boost gets you there.

I believe ur target is possible with 3.8l if ur tuner lower the torque and boost it up u will still be able to get ur target on 93 octane also. On 750whp that I'm talking about u will be able to kill bolt ons Gixxers/Busa's with no problem. We r talking about 670wtq@4500rpm.

Again...This 750whp/670wtq@17-18psi on 91 octane. You will see more power with 93 octane of course.

I think you can make 800whp on carrilo rods, L19 head studs and porting
+ Protomotive GTX3076 turbo kit
low boost 17 psi pump gas
hight boost 26 psi ms109 or e85

The 3.8,s are making 750whp on pump gas, 3.6? Really? I wanted 800 to 850whp on 93 only. No meth. So 4.1 to 4.3 seems to be the way to go.

91 octane no meth it made 750whp. Why u don't go with E85 instead of 93 octane? it will cost u less than 3.8 build. Forged internals + E85 would be way to go IMO
