Yeh i wasnt all taken by the sound either to be honest....sort of like half way between an old lawnmower and a wippersniper at full revs. Maybe your right about it not being a model car.....just something else....but I dont think anything too exotic. But that 458 is in a league of its own with that sound.

Reading it, it becomes clear there is way too much speculation over what car it really was and who was actually driving it to really say anything factual. From taxi driver to F1 racer....3 speed Auto Merc to 5 speed manual Faz...a big unknown. One thing that did stand out in the film tho was that whatever it was it wasn't really going that all fast going by the passing buildings and approaching cars. So in reality it may well have just been a taxi driver....in a Parisian cab.

 

Agreed but have you ever taken a ride around the Arc de Triomphe with a Parisian taxi driver ,it can be quite a scary ride
