Hi Guys,

I can't believe i'm writingn this thread It's like i'm living a dream, I finnalized the deal on my first Turbooo. Found a nice black/black 2007 with low miles. I wanted to take the time to share my experience with Russ Blahetka from Napleton Porsche of Westmont in Illinois where i did my PPI. Great first class service and always there to answer any inquiry i had. Its always hard to purchase a car from a distance so we need to rely on the good people at the dealership that we deal with to do good work for us and Russ was very good in being there when needed.

Now that all is done i need to wait another 2 weeks for the delivery and i'm tooo excited lol. Allready i'm thinking about all the mods i wanna do to this car since its bone stock.everything i've done to my 997 was with the advice of all the experienced Members from this forum so i thank everyone that helped.

The only question i have is related to exhaust systems. I know there are numerous threads that talk about them and i did lots of research, but i really have 0 experience with turbos. I chose the Awe system for my 997 and love it, so i'd be looking for something that sounds like that or more agressive, but what i dont understand is how you get to hear the turbo whistle. Why do some exhausts make you hear it more then others? I ask cuz i would really love to hear that sound. Unfortunatly, it is very rare you cross a modified porsche in my area(montreal) and relying on YOUTUBE videos for sound isn't always the best idea. So basically to sum it up, a nice clean agresssive sound with turbo whistle is what i'd be looking for.

Thanks guys

I also live in Montreal, happen to know all the Porsche garages here. Depending what you want to do, some are very good.
I bought an exhaust 3 weeks ago, installed it,took it off next day, it was terrible. There are none to listen to live, except a $10k version.
Ended up going w a Europipe. Coming this week from Belgium. If would like to hear it, will be installed by next Friday.

BTW; I had a C4S before, explained to me nowhere near the same sounds no matter what you buy, probably better!

Awesome that would be great! I'd love to hear it! 10k for an exhaust system, that's insane if you ask me. I still dont understand how you get to hear the turbo whistle though.

not sure what you are saying here?

the stock exhausts on these are more than sad - if i don't find something that kicks out sound but quiet on highway, i am trading the car

C4s
My first C4S,997.1 had PSE and sounded great. I bought another C4S without PSE and did the Gundo hack. Almost the exact same sound.

With Turbos, completely different sounding.

The $10k exhaust is by TechArt. On AVOs TT who owns the garage.
