i saw the first post. i am wondering if this car is actually a turbo car or not .... clutch fittment will be different. 993/996/997 turbo/gt2/gt3 are interchangeable where the regualr NA cars are different.

given that he is posting a 997tt forum about this problem with a 01 cab, i am curious what car exactly does he have.

What a strange thread - it sounded bogus to me as soon as I read that Porsche took care of the cost of installing an OEM Porsche clutch kit, lol.

FWIW, I have had a Sachs II.5 for a couple of years - problem free and really good for my needs. Mike from AWE was great in helping me out with an install issue (the shop I used was very "experienced" yet they couldn't figure out some things with this kit! Mike kindly explained to them how to install it).

It's been 2 or 3 years so I'd say 20-30000km or so. I don't launch the car from a stop very often but I have certainly flogged the car at the track and the clutch hasn't complained.

This is absolutely true! My dealer is Pfaff Porsche in Toronto. The clutch kit was ordered through their partner company Pfaff Tuning, and the work was done at the dealership.

Both Pfaff Tuning and Pfaff Porsche backed me, supported their life-long customer, and together covered the cost. They were genuinely shocked and apologetic for how Mike at AWE Tuning treated me, as Pfaff Tuning is a regular installer of AWE parts, and also because they clearly explained to Mike that I was a loyal customer who was getting screwed through no fault of my own.

This is why I felt so complelled to share my experience. Pfaff Porsche and Pfaff Tuning deserve credit for going above-and-beyond in regard to their level of customer loyalty and customer service. I also wanted to warn any potential customers of AWE Tuning that if things go wrong...you are on your own. I only wish I had the same warning!
