got to take to porsche out today ,altough I shouldnt of.. I figured it would be ok since to sweepers have been out here in anchorage.. ended up with a small hole in my pass fog light so I need to replace it .. I think I've found one on ebay for 200.00 .. Is there a diy on changing out the fog light ,am wondering how to access the fog light.. im hoping its not from the bottom and if thats the case I guess Ill have my mechanic do it.. If thier is anyway I can do it,I would like to .. thanks for any input and if this is a repost ,I apologize as I tried searching but maybe was looking in the wrong area..

 

bulb replacement is from bottom so yes, either from under or may even require bumper removal.

 

damn... I hope the bumper cover doesnt have to be removed.. I guess im going to be checking with the mechanic in the morning...

 

Bumper doesn't need to come off, but you do need some tiny hands to do the swap easily. Car needs to go on ramps or jackstands to get under the car.

 

$200? What exactly are you replacing? The bulb is easy, I just had to do it, unplug it, spin maybe 1/2turn, pull down. But if the lense it broke, then a bumper removal is imminent.

 

yep.. Thats what happened the lense got a hole in it from a rock chip its tiny tho but have to replace it.. All in all the best i've found for a fog light assem is 205.00 shipped.. The damn stealership here in anchorage qouted me 300 something ..

hmmm is their a diy on front bumper removal on a 997 turbo??.. checked other posts and found some only to gt2 and a turbo bumper conversion,whats funny is he had the bumper on w/out fog light s installed,wonder how he installed them after the fact??
