exhaust tips for turbo with europipe

Hello forum,

I have been lurking on this forum for some time and have gotten a lot of great info... thanks to all you guys for all the work it takes to maintain this resource! I have recently had the europipe EP1 installed on my turbo (based on the reviews here) and I think that I would like to put quad-tips on the car to complete the look. I have seen the fabspeed ones and they look ok, but I would REALLY like a titanium look quad tip. Does anyone here know if such a product exists?

slim pickings on tips, Im running the techart tips. Maxspeed offers cheap quad round tips and I think those are the same other vendors sells. There is the ebay junk also which of course I would avoid.

Check with the EP guys, some tips will effect the sound negatively. Im happy with the techarts.

Stef will tell you that he did some testing with quad tips and didn't like the sound...that's why he stayed with the TT style.

Not sure if this is what you're looking for. It's europipe stage 2 with dual pipes. I love the sound. Someone comments on it every day that I drive it...

996, correct? The EP2 for the 997.1 has larger diameter outlet so Stef has to fabricate the OEM tip to fit. Not sure if aftermarket guys have a tip for the EP2 on the 997.1

Went through the same motions. Important question, your car is a 997.1 or .2?
Limits your options as tips arent interchangeable.

Went with maxspeed myself. They look identical to fabspeeds but half the price. Not sure if they are still available couldnt find them on their site, perhaps Nelo form maxspeed will chime in. If you go with them remember to weld the tightening nut before installation, so you can install them and tighten to the max without having to remove the bumper.

I had mine carbon ceramic coated in the UK.

Stef did say that the dual tips change the sound a bit. He described it as a "farting" sound. I have yet to hear that. On the contrary, the sound of the EP1 is amazing.

I am sure that you can have them smoked to get the titanium look. I have read posts where people have painted them with bbq high temp paint (called 2000 degs or something) and baking them in the home oven for 20 mins. So there would be a titanium color that you could try that with. As far as I have seen (and trust me I did look) other than BBI I have not come across titanium colored dual round tips for a 997.1

Good luck.

Notice the tips have or look like one piece block with two quads coming out.. in addition these are true duals, there's an internal flap that redirects the exhaust flow to both quads, we also added condensation escape holes below the tips. In stock ready to ship.

Best,

Nello

I would also like to take the opportunity to talk a little about our new exhaust for the 997TT, I see the buzz with europipe as per what members on 6speed are saying it looks like a great exhaust no doubt about it, I own a 997TT and owned the 996TT as well in the past and have seen many exhausts on the 996TT and 997TT and drone is the killer, the NHP Exhaust is also an excellent exhaust to consider, no cabin drone, perfect fitment and sounds just about right, we all know sound is subjective but this exhaust is very well balanced and can please many 997TT owner's, we are currently sold out but we will have more soon with the option of replacing the 200 cell cat-pipes for catless pipes. I have sold one to a local here who is a 6speed member I'm sure he will probably post is thoughts on the exhaust, I'm confident that he likes is new NHP Exhaust. Videos will be posted soon on our website.

Guys, thanks for all the responses. I have a 997.1 (should have mentioned that from the start) and most of the products that you guys mentioned I found as well, but somehow they don't seem to be exactly what i'm looking for. I think that I'll stick with the OEM tips for now and just enjoy my car. Like many of you I have been bitten with the upgrade bug and this is probably as good a time as any to reign it in.
