The magic of GIAC played a huge role. The engine and transmission programming on the DFi PDK cars is so complex, its' really something that we would never be able to modify if we didn't have the help of GIAC running the programming side for us.

Thanks Ken, you should come check it out sometime. Wait a few days though, she's up on a lift right now getting some minor tweaks.

 

This build goes far beyond epic, and I will have to try to pick up a copy of car and driver. I am curious to what HP you were able to push with the VTGs and PDK and if it is beyond what you had attained previously.

As for the PDK, the goal with this particular car wasn't so much about putting down the most power possible, but more about making the PDK reliable enough to survive some pretty heavy track duty without some of the faults and heating issues that other PDK track cars have sometimes been plagued with.

So for power, we kept the factory clutch material, replaced the fluid pan with our larger billet unit for better cooling, and bumped power up to about 575hp/620tq (depending on how darn hot it is that day lol) with the help of some nifty programming work from our friends at GIAC. It also has some minor fuel system upgrades in place, which help maximize the power output without the danger of running too lean.
