Just got the results back on my 07 turbo with 40k miles. I have only had the car for about 2k miles and had the oil changed at 4.5k miles when they pulled the sample.

Blackstone says everything looked good except for the copper. It read 27 compared to the 5 universal average.

What could potentially be wrong for this to read high in copper?

After some more searches, I found different levels of coppers of 13, 16, 17, and 27 (including mine) and a 42 on a gt2 with suggested ranges between 5 - 20 for the turbos and 42 for the gt2.

Any other input on this?

 

Did you put anything in it? Like an additive?

 

Nope, just shell 93 gas

 

A lot of the bearings used have copper and other soft metals, probably normal wear.
