Tuned HP - Softronic

How many bhp / awhp should I expect to see with only a Softronic tune and no other mods (no exhaust)? I am confused on their website as it says 615hp but I would be surprised if the tune yielded an additional 135hp. Anyone know?

My recommendation is that you should install an exhaust apart from the tune. In that way you lower your egts and your timing advance is more stable and more "aggressive". The result in power in terms of numbers depends on the fuel!

well , it Depends on the dyno if dynojet or mustang dyno etc etc ..
from little experience we tested a stock 997tt on dyno jet , it made only 414awhp

after that the owner installed softronic tune only , he made 481awhp !!!! another one i knew , he did softronic tune , exhaust , bmc filter and DVs !!! he made 539awhp !!!

but all of these are numbers !!! what you should test is VBOX num , from 100-200km or 60-130mph !!!!

The 615 is BHP and not AWHP It is also with 93 octane and exhaust. The difference in BHP to AWHP will also be the dyno's loss with drive train. Basically the gains in AWHP on whatever dyno has to also add the losses to get to the BHP figure. The BHP is flywheel HP and has no drive train loss.

As a basic example: Lets say a car has 480BHP and was run on a dyno that had a 15% loss with the drive train. The car would run at 408AWHP. Now the same car running at 615BHP would run at 522AWHP.

This though is with exact known losses, repetitive runs , fuel quality etc will all affect dyno runs.

Is there any concern in tuning the car without the exhaust? Will it negatively affect the car in anyway?

I'm running Tubi Exhaust with a Softronic Tune for 93 octane and it feels exactly like 522AWHP and I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
