Are they really good? because my next upgrade was either suspension work, or brake upgrade with pads, brake line and fluid of course.

No both the RS19 and 29 squeal like a pig or a city garbage truck! Bed in or not.

I've tried various Pagid and Performance Friction pads that are race pads and they do not have the same COLD stopping power on the street like stock pads do and they all squeak real bad when braking lightly like you do no the street.

Friends EBC and Cobalt pads do the same too.

Prospeed 683 is awesome fluid...best I've used. Indy, NASCAR, Rolex series all use this fluid. Also the Motul RBF660 is really good too. Castrol SRF is good but has a more mushy feel to it and it's twice the cost and harder on seals. Prospeed 683 is real good for brake seals.

I sort of figured this would be the case with Pagid and I'm too lazy and limited in space to haul a jack, stands and whatnot to change them out every time at the track. Good to learn about Prospeed though. Thanks everyone!

I am looking to do 3-4 HPDE's per year in my 997 Turbo. Would the Hawk 60's and stock rotors be ok to use for this small amount of hard running? I am looking to pick up a set of used OZ wheels as well so I can just swap out the street tires/wheels for dedicated track ones. f possible, I want to keep the same brake pads for street without having to swap them out for each of the 3-4 track uses....or would it be smarter just to swap brake pads out for the track days? I've never changed the pads on any of my Porsches myself. Last question -- do I need to run different brake fluid for HPDE's? If it isn't too expensive I would run the higher level of brake fluid and install braided lines for street use as well.

We have been looking for a street pad that worked well for a while now. Our priorities in coming up with a good pad were as follows-

1) Very little brake dust
2) No squealing
3) Great initial brake bite when cold
4) Good pedal modulation
5) Less fade

We are pleased to have found a combination that we are comfortable with now. We installed quite a few sets of pads into 6Speed member Showking's car. You can tell that keeping his wheels free from dust is important to him and he puts a lot of miles on his car so it was a true test. It took a couple of different tries till we found a set that actually met all the criteria.

We are coming up with pricing for these next week. We will also be able to supply pads that are more for driving events and track days.

If any of you guys are from the South Jersey area we are coming to New Jersey Motorsports Park for a TimeAttack race (www.globaltimeattack.com), you should come out and say hello to team WORLD, it would be great to meet some of you guys. If anyone is interested in racing just go to the website and sign up.

Thanks-
-Craig
