My 997TT (stock) vs Buddies Audi R8 V10 (exhaust/tune) 1/4 mile

We went to Steele Al yesterday and did some 1/4 runs. Best pass is below running my buddies R8. Went 11.88@119 with a 1.64 60'. He went 11.97@119 on a 1.9 60'. His fast pass for the day was 11.91 I believe. He is running a Miltek exhaust and APR tune. Porsche is 6 speed. Audi is R-tronic trans. Outside temp was around 95 degrees and the DA was 3000ish.

TnT. We weren't worried about cutting the light. Just times and ETs. My RT was like 3 seconds .

I just wanted to get it in the 11's because it was very hot out. I think she still has a few tenths in her cold. Also can't wait to get it tuned and try to catch those dang GTRs. (We go to the track with a few bolton/tuned ones and they are running 10s.)

Congrats tpduke on your time! I have been struggling to properly launch my 6speed. For some reason, I get this bog after slipping/dropping the clutch. I have been keeping the rev's below 4K to not stress the drivetrain.

If I launched at anything below 4k, it bogs. At 4200ish, it bogs a little and got out. At 4500 or so, it doesnt bog.

work the TP some more and see how you go. drop it to 20 and see how that works. Obviously the clutch dump will differ on TP PSI. Test it obviously to see when it breaks

Now he is thinking about getting a GTR haha. I would like to do the same but I will not get something that isn't available in a 6speed.
